Become a Mentor
MetroVoice mentors are the heartbeat of every cohort. You bring your professional experience, your life wisdom, and your genuine care to young people who are building their plans. You don't have to be a teacher — you have to show up.
- Lead or co-facilitate workshop sessions
- Serve as subject matter expert in your field
- Provide career exposure and professional coaching
- Participate in student Life Game Plan showcases
- Build one-on-one mentoring relationships
- Background check (facilitated by MetroVoice)
- 3–4 hour orientation and training session
- Commitment of 2–4 hours per month
- Genuine passion for youth development
Volunteer
Not ready to commit to a full mentoring role? MetroVoice has meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, and corporate teams who want to make a hands-on difference in the lives of Baltimore youth.
- Showcase event setup, facilitation, and support

We partner with businesses to host corporate volunteer days, team projects, and group engagement opportunities. Volunteer documentation provided for CSR reporting.

Every dollar you give directly supports a young person in Baltimore building their Winning Life Game Plan. From curriculum materials to coaching sessions to mentor training — your gift funds the work.
- $25 — Provides a student's workbook and materials
- $50 — Funds a coaching and mentor prep session
- $100 — Sponsors one student's full program seat

- $500 — Funds a full student cohort's materials

The Mentor Journey
From application

Week 1Background check & intake call
We will reach out to schedule a brief intake conversation and initiate the background check process. All costs are covered by MetroVoice.
Week 1–2Orientation & training
Attend a 3–4 hour orientation covering the Winning Life Game Plan framework, youth-centered engagement and your role in the cohort.
Week 2–3Cohort match & introduction
We intentionally match you to a cohort based on your background, expertise, and schedule. You meet your students and co-facilitator before the first session.
Week 3–4Program delivery & showcase
You show up for your students — in sessions, mentor circles, and the final showcase. We support you every step with check-ins, resources, and recognition.
