Summer Leadership Lab

An intensive 6–8 week summer experience where students build their Winning Life Game Plan through twice-weekly coaching sessions, entrepreneurship, teamwork, mentor relationships, and a final public showcase. Designed for middle and high school students ready to do the work.

A year-round weekly program that deepens the Winning Life Game Plan through consistent coaching, the Youth Frameworks for Success curriculum, monthly mentor circles, family engagement events, and semester-end showcases. Designed for schools, community sites, and nonprofits to host as a structured partner program.

MetroVoice programs are free for students who need scholarship support. No young person is turned away due to cost. Scholarship funding is available, and families can indicate their need on the enrollment form. A $100 program fee helps sustain program delivery — but is never a barrier to participation.
MetroVoice serves young people ages 7–24, with programming grouped by developmental stage — ages 7–10, 11–13, 14–17, and 18–24. Content is adapted to the age, stage, and setting of each cohort. Both the Summer Leadership Lab and Afterschool Leadership Lab are designed for this age range, with programming adapted to meet students where they are developmentally.
MetroVoice programs operate across DC, Maryland, and Virginia — partnering with schools, community centers, churches, and nonprofits to bring the program where students already are. We do not require students to travel to a central location. We come to them.
The Afterschool Leadership Lab is designed to meet after-school enrichment, Title I, and youth development grant criteria. As our evaluation framework is established we will provide pre/post assessment data, attendance records, student work samples, cohort impact reports, and facilitator documentation — everything a funder, school district, or government agency needs for compliance and reporting.
All MetroVoice programs are built on Youth Frameworks for Success — a six-unit youth development curriculum covering identity, values, discipline, resilience, creativity, and vision, culminating in each student's Winning Life Game Plan.
Businesses, foundations, and civic organizations can sponsor individual student seats ($100), full cohorts (from $1,500), showcase events (from $500), or become a Community Champion sponsor ($1,000+). All donations are processed through Zeffy, our crowdfunding platform, and MetroVoice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — all gifts are tax-deductible.
MetroVoice mentors commit to 2–4 hours per month and go through a background check and 3–4 hour orientation training. Mentors are matched intentionally with student cohorts based on their professional background and expertise. Fill out the inquiry form below to get started.
